Family Transitions Program

Family Transitions is a preventive service program offered to Onondaga County families experiencing the effects of sexual abuse in their homes. These families are identified by Onondaga County's Department of Social Services and referred to Elmcrest for treatment. The purpose of the program is to change individual and family dynamics, to prevent further abuse, and to prevent the placement or re-placement of children in the foster care system. Elmcrest treatment specialists work with an average of 60 families at any given time.
