Casey’s Place Receives Lowes Heroes Awards

Casey’s Place will receive $1400 worth of products sold by Lowe’s.  “These will include new patio furniture for the deck and lower patio, landscaping for the back yard, new shelving and hooks for the garage, and plants and mulch for the playground area.” Geglia notes.  Lowe’s employees will measure the respective areas at Casey’s Place and handle the installation.

Casey’s Place was nominated for this award by a grandparent of a medical child who attends the program. Lowe’s requested a wish list and then chose the items to be donated from that list.

Casey’s Place serves as a respite for families of children with developmental disabilities and children with extreme medical needs. In addition to providing respite, Casey’s Place affords these children an opportunity for recreation and fun times with their peers.  Casey’s Place is owned and operated by Elmcrest.
