For children in turmoil.  Families at risk.  Children suffering the effects of severe abuse and neglect.  Youngsters with developmental disabilities or serious medical issues.  All find hope and the services they need at Elmcrest Children’s Center.

Each year, Elmcrest serves more than 1500 children in one or more of its 12 different programs.  From early intervention and education services to specialized treatment for children with exceptional behaviors and psychiatric issues…from family support services to pediatric respite, Elmcrest provides for the care and treatment of some of our community’s most vulnerable children. 

From its earliest days as Syracuse’s first orphanage, Elmcrest has dedicated itself to meeting the needs of our community’s most needy children.  After more than 160 years of service, we are more committed than ever to our mission and continue to be at the forefront of developing services to meet the ever-changing needs of our youth.
